Jonathan Zhang is an empirical economist with interests in health economics, public finance, and applied microeconomics. His research centres around evaluating the impacts of health policy; the role of supply and demand-side factors in influencing substance abuse and mental health, and the determinants of healthcare utilization. He is on leave for the 2020-21 academic year as a postdoctoral scholar at Princeton University.  He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University in 2020 and his BSc in Statistics and Economics from the University of British Columbia.
