CHEPA member Lisa Schwartz, Professor, Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact, and McMaster’s Arnold L. Johnson Chair in Health Care Ethics, will present “Good Participatory Practices in research: what does it mean for ethically sound research?”  in a CHEPA seminar on Wednesday, March 20 at 12:30 pm in room CRL-B119 and online.

The seminar will draw on the findings of a three-year research project conducted for the World Health Organization which produced  toolkits and a handbook to support Good Participatory Practices for a global platform trial of vaccines, and supported local community engagement teams. Her team is now working on a “Lessons Learned” paper about how GPP can support better research, but also the barriers and obstacles encountered.
