Derek Manis will present a CHEPA seminar on the topic “Models of congregate care for older adults: findings from the retirement home and assisted living sector”  on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 12:30 pm.

Manis is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the CHEPA and the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI) at McMaster University and ICES. He is an interdisciplinary health services and policy researcher who has expertise in big data analytics, observational and quasi-experimental study designs, and systematic review methods. His research examines health care quality, models of care, and preferences for care among older adults who reside in congregate care homes. He is an incoming tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University.
